A member asked:

I had sex about 11 days ago. he wore a condom, pulled out before ejaculating, and i took the day after pill about 27 hours later... pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely not pregnant: The morning after pill- emergency contraception is 89% effective in preventing pregnancy when taken between 24 to 72 hours after sex. Condoms are about 82% effective in preventing pregnancy. Pregnancy is unlikely however you can check with a home pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex to be certain. Morning after pills also alter menstrual cycle for at least one cycle.
