A member asked:

I have taken ecp 7 days ago, now there is bleeding happening from it. can i take second ecp now, would it pose any risk because of the current bleeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe not, but...: Why twice in 1 month? Emergency contraception (like Postinor 2 or Plan B) is for use in the rare instances of emergencies, not for use as a routine contraceptive. They are for emergencies, meaning they should be needed only 1, 2, or 3 times in an entire lifetime. If not wanting to get pregnant, and if having sex, always have a good primary contraceptive method (a Plan A) in place.
