Specialist consult: I believe you are referring to an ERA Endometrial Receptivity Analysis. This is a very specific test used by some IVF doctors as a predictive tool for IVF success predictions. Most Obgyns are going to be unfamiliar with the specifics of this test. Endometrial lining: If you are having bleeding, you need an endometrial biopsy. You may have polyp, adenomyosis, infection, inflammation or another problem.

Only in postmenopaus: The endometrium is the lining of the uterus, and it 'proliferates' during the 1st 1/2 of the menstrual cycle under the influence of the estrogen that a woman's body produces in the ovaries. It's a normal state of being for the lining during the 1st half of the cycle. Nothing to worry about.
