Athlete in walking boot for 4-8 wks for sesamoid stress injury (and arthritis). ankle is getting very stiff and pops. how csn i not lose strngth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tough not to: Being in a walking boot for that long you will loose some strength, you can do range of motion exercises while you are sitting to maintain motion and help with the stiffness. You can't really do any strength training until you are out of the boot and able to walk regularly.
