Conception: Since mild infections like headcolds or viral gastroenteritis are so prevalent, I'm sure that millions of women have conceived without adverse effects on their pregnancy. The key point is that these cause relatively mild and minor illnesses allowing conception to still occur. It is likely that a woman seriously ill would have trouble conceiving. Your obgyn can answer this question best,however
