A member asked:

Can high inr cause blood in urine on its own or does it just highlight and underlying problem? i had inr of 5.6 and bloody urine. went to er/sent home

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: An INR of 5.6 alone could cause blood in urine. The issue may need to be reexamined once you have your INR in the therapeutic range. Please discuss it with the doctor prescribing the anti-coagulant. Wish you good health.
