I took 2 gm valacyclovir twice yesterday as i had an outbreak occurring. can i repeat that dosage today? i still feel like the outbreak isn't over.

No more needed: There is no need for more. With the large doses of valayclovir you took, the drug is still in your system. It always takes at least a few days for complete healing -- but drug needs to be in your system only 24 hours. Your outbreak should continue to improve. Possible exception: if your initial infection was only a few weeks ago and this is your 1st or 2nd recurrence, maybe need 1-2 days more.
