Possible CTS: This may be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, or compression on the median nerve. Yes, a splint will help. If it is not this, a splint will not hurt your condition either. Yes, you need an exam, but no urgency unless coldness, lack of blood supply, or severe pain. Good luck!
