A member asked:

I took contraceptive pills twice this month.i got my periods very soon. the flow is very slow and blood is brown. what to do to normalize my periods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hmmm....: Regular contraceptive pills (birth control pills) are for daily use. A person takes them once a day, and her withdrawal periods will be regular if she takes her pills once a day until the "placebo" week (the "off" week or the "inactive" week). Emergency contraceptive pills are RARELY to be used (only when primary means of contraception fail), and periods may be off-schedule for 1-2 months after.
