Could be serious: Unintended weight loss requires medical check up as the cause could be something serious like Cancer. An overactive thyroid gland can also cause weight loss, but one of the common causes is an internal cancer. So you must go see you doctor and get a complete check up without delay.

Get seen soon!: Unintentional weight loss can have many causes. It's impossible to determine what is causing this without further history, incl. a food diary, current medication and supplement use, a good physical &, if needed, appropriate testing. The cause may be something simple: low caloric intake or thyroid hormone abnormality or something more serious: tuberculosis or cancer (far less likely). See MD soon!
