A member asked:

Having pelvic pain 2 weeks after femvue hsg test. been spotting brown and sometimes red for past 4 days. could this be from the test? very worried

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain/bleeding: HSG: If the HSG removed blockage in your tubes, the process could also push bacteria into the pelvic area, causing infection. The usual cause for any blockage of fallopian tubes is inflammatory scar formation secondary to infection or endometriosis. Bacterial spread into the pelvis causes pain/spotting. See your provider for an exam and don't delay.
