Not desired: Most medications are best absorbed on an empty stomach or just before eating. There a few that are work best with food. Some medications are not well tolerated on an empty stomach so it is best to take with small amount of food or meal. Propanolol needs to be absorbed well to work & generally would advise to take before eating or meal.
