Two lumps, one on each leg near the left lower back calf. they appeared quickly and hurt if i press against them. slightly red. no other symptoms.

The fact that they: are bilateral suggests that they are not blood clots, tho not with 100% surety. Most commonly they are varicose veins which get worse with standing or sitting for long times. If they are painful when you first awaken, see a doctor now. If get worse the longer your are up , then try support hose
