Cyst vs. spur: Have you had an x-ray? Further testing & exam is needed. If a cyst it can be drained or removed. Bone spur can also be treated. Consider seeing a hand specialist. Your family doc can refer you. Peace and good health.

Ganglion: Ganglion is a collection of jelly like fluid where can confirmed by ultrasound. Bony spurs can be differentiated from ganglion by an X ray. If cyst is causing pressure on nerve that can cause pain, tingling and weakness, please see a orthopaedic surgeon.
