During the trials with the exception of oral candidiasis and influenza, the rate infections was not any greater than those that received a placebo(neither pneumonia in COPD, Upper respiratory infections nor sinusitis) There is a caution against using any corticosteroid in those with tuberculosis, fungal or herpes infections.
