Period: there can be minor variations n periods and they many not be like clock work. If you are not having any foul smelling discharge, inter mittens bleeding pr spotting, post coital bleeding and your smears are all up to date an norma, i would suggest wait and se how your subsequent period is. Also do a pregnancy test as some times abnormal bleeding or untimely bleeding may be related to pregnancy .

Not uncommon: to occasionally have an irregular period. There are lots of things that can cause this, including emotional or physical stress, but it often happens for no apparent reason. It may take a month or so for your cycles to normalize again. If you have had unprotected sex, then you should be checked for sexually transmitted disease (STD) which can cause menstrual irregularity.
