Posture & Lifestyle: A simple answer is yes. Our increasing sedentary lifestyle, looking down at our phones/electronics, and lack of regular exercise are leading to more back problems. Often posture and these factors cause muscular pain, but later could lead to early degenerative changes in the spine and greater problems. Posture alone is not the greatest risk factor, but can contribute to asymmetries and thus pain.
