Plasma: They only want the liquid part of the blood where the antibodies can be harvested. The cells are useless and actually cannot be injected into someone else's blood stream.

Not white blood cell: Donating plasma does not take white blood cells out of your body. It does take some of the antibodies out, however, it is not an issue with a healthy person as the body replenishes those in a few days and it does not reduce the ability of the immune system. I commend you for doing your civic duty by donating plasma. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
