It depends...: Most pneumonia n '"older" people is bacterial. Vaccines may HELP prevent it, but appropriate antibiotics are nec if you get it. If you're younger with milder sx's you may have walking/atypical PNA, which responds to diff antibiotics. There is also viral PNA, if the virus is known we MAY have tx to ease the course. Most viruses only have support. No matter the type may need supportive treatment.

Pneumonia: Pneumonia cure depends on the cause. If suspected to be caused by bacteria , antibiotics can help cure . If due to virus then only mostly symptomatic treatment is recommended like oxygen and body has to fight it out but in certain cases antiviral medication are also prescribed. Antifungals will help if onetime is caused by a fungus.
