Highly unlikely: Not related to steroid. Check with your doc. Something else is going on.

No: It's probably part of the same viral infection that stirred up your asthma. 4 weeks is a long time, however, so it may be time to see a doctor to see if you have a bacterial infection. You're kind of old for mononucleosis, but there are other mono like illnesses that could last this long.
