Hymenal Remnant: The hymen is a circle of elastic tissue around the vagina opening, like a stretchy bracelet or collar. It's not a solid layer of skin. Its a myth that all hymens get broken with losing virginity. Rarely, some women have an extra piece of hymen that stretches across the vaginal opening. This might need to be removed. See your MD for an exam to see what's hanging out

Wait: With intercourse and time the tissue will contract and absorb.
