What a daughter!: Your Mom or you should ask her doc about possibly trying something like gabapentin at bedtime which is often helpful for sleep with painful shoulder conditions. If she sleeps on her back, try putting a rolled towel under the middle of her back so the shoulder sort of hangs over. If on her side, make sure she has a very firm pillow to lessen pressure on shoulder. Try heat, ice, pillows to prop.
