Maybe herpes: It could still be an STD and these symptoms are very suspicious for herpes. Presumably "protection" means you used a condom, but condoms aren't perfect, especially against herpes. And if there was unprotected oral sex, that also could be a risk. See a doctor or clinic ASAP. Do not delay: the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Good luck!
