Whatever works for U: A 7 mo will need 10-12 hours of sleep/d and when/how these hours are broken up depends on what you are happy with. If putting the kid down at 8 means s/he is up at 4 AM for the day, it is probably better to put him/her down when you go to bed so you get more restful sleep.No infant sleeps more than 4 hrs without stirring, some can return to sleep without help and stay down longer if you let them.
