Need to see MD: I'm glad you're confident this isn't herpes, but that's the most common overall cause of genital ulcer, even in people at no current risk for STDs. Many new herpes cases are from monogamous partners not previously known to be infected. It's unlikely you intentionally shave your labia minora. In any case, you need in person care to determine the cause, the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis.
