Nystagmus: The words mean essentially the same as their dictionary definitions. Conjugate eye movements are the normal condition, moving together as a pair, in register. Disjunctive = dis- abnormal + junctive like junction, so not correctly joined, NOT conjugate, moving separately. The mechanisms may be complex but the meanings are straightforward.
