Allergy: Certain plants can give itching , sometimes people are allergic to certain plants and grasses and working in garden can cause itching and taking bath washed off the cause and itch disappeared.

Could be allergy: Allergic or irritant reactions can occur when the skin comes in contact with plants or trees. Suggest wearing long sleeves and gloves when working in the garden.
