Bacterial vaginosis?: The main cause of strong vaginal odor, often with discharge, is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. However, colored discharge ("brownish") usually indicates other infections, such as trichomonas or other STDs, like gonorrhea or chlamydia. See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Good luck!
