Tricky herpes: You can actually get herpes wherever the virus 'lands' and there is a break (scratch) in the skin or a mucous membrane (like the lips, genitals or even the eye). Getting herpes in an armpit would seem unusual - and it would have to depend on 'what exactly' happened during the sex acts, but herpes is quite infectious so protection is always a good idea. Checking blood tests will help confirm.
