See a doctor ASAP: If you have chickenpox, that can actually be quite severe. In general, the older a patient is, the more severe the illness (compared to a child). These throat symptoms you report are concerning and I would DEFINITELY see a doctor right away. I would go to the Emergency Room. That way, someone can look in your throat to check for swelling or ulceration. An infectious Diseases doctor could help too.
