A member asked:

So i'm about to be 19 and i've never started my period and i was wondering if i should be worried or if i'm just overreacting.

Doctor can evaluate: In the U.S., where almost every child has access to medical care, a girl by age 15-16 years will have seen a doctor for not having periods. This is because "all" the other girls she knows at home, school, or church have started their periods by that age. At age 19, a woman can see her primary care doctor, who can do a good exam and order some lab tests. An endocrinologist or gynecologist may help.
