I found a boil on my butt cheek a week ago. i finally got the core out and my pain is better. i still have draining and swelling. is that normal?

Abscess.: This could be a boil or an abscess. It wouldn't be unusual for it to drain for a day or two after being popped. If it drains for longer than that, of if it's very painful or surrounded by redness, you may need antibiotics as well.

Butt cheek boil: Is the drainage getting less and the swelling decreasing? If so, it should improve by itself. If not, then you might consider having your PCP check it out.
