Probably OK: You don't say which STI you had, but 7 days suggests it was chlamydia treated with doxycycline, right? Or gonorrhea? If so, you are non-infectious to your partner. Be sure and get re-tested in 3 months to make sure the infection hasn't come back, or that you haven't been reinfected. Also, it would be wise for your new partner to be tested for STDs before you and he start having sex. Good luck!
