Can be assessed: The attachment under the tongue is variable.It needs to be loose enough for you to use the tongue for speech sounds but not so mobile it interferes with them. Generally,if you have no problems in this area it may not be worth cutting it loose.Your doc, a speech pathologist, or an ENT could easily evaluate your concern & point out any options for treatment.Most significant ones are clipped at birth
