It definitely exists: The true nature of being human is being imperfect. All parts of humans are imperfect, and thus all parts of a human have illnesses. That includes heart illnesses, stomach illnesses, mental illnesses, etc. Those who unwaveringly believe mental illness does not exist actually have a delusion, which may itself be a symptom of mental illness. Psychiatrists have medications to treat delusions.

Yes: Mental illness certainly exists. People suffer every day. There are helpful forms of treatment and thank goodness. Shame on anyone who leads you in the direction of not reaching out for help if you need help. It is important to find the right treater for your needs. Your primary care doctor might be able to help with that. Take care of yourself.

Mental Illness: I understand your opinion about “Do mental illness exist?” as living in your country, one has to deal with realities of daily life to survive, take care of parents, spouse, family and children and there is no time to think about emotional problems. These stresses can cause Anxiety and Depression. See a Psychiatrist for: •Diagnosis •Therapy for stresses •Medication if needed •Breathing Relaxation
