No: Young babies eat breast milk. That is true of all baby mammals, including baby humans. Yogurt can be introduced around age 6 months. If a mother has not enough breast milk, she can supplement with baby formula.

Why ?: Two generations ago moms quit breast feeding and made formula from cow milk. They tried to make up the nutritional deficiencies it caused by early and diverse feeds. We know now that was a bad idea and many adults today are confused about early feeds. Babies can thrive on BM alone for their 1st yr.We begin feeds when they sit, more to train them to the table than anything else. Slow down.
