My mother is having gastro symptoms almost two weeks after having exploratory shoulder surgery. why could this be?

Antibiotics for surg: Your mother had exploratory or arthroscopy surgery(?). She has gastrointstinal symptoms now for 2 weeks. She may have received antibiotics for the surgery and that has altered her gut bacteria. Try yogurt to help. If she has blood or pain then she should go to see her doctor first.
