A member asked:

Can past drug use (i.e. intravenously) cause permanent low sperm count even if you have been sober for a number of years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: A man's sperm count and his ability to become a father correlate some, but not that closely. The important thing is that you got away from the terrible scourge of drug abuse. Your life is going to be far happier. Maybe you can be a dad yourself. Or maybe you can do like I did, and devote your life to helping other guys' kids find opportunities and happiness. Be grateful, and serve others well.
