Call dental society: Your ms should not compromise your dental care. If you do not have a regular dentist you can call the local dental society and get a referral from them. Ask them to give you names of dentist who are experienced with implants. A prostodontist would be able to provide you with excellent care.

Start with consult: The ms is not an issue regarding dental treatment. You need to start with a dentist to examine you. He\she can then make some suggestions regarding treatment options and refer you to a prosthodontist and periodontist\oral surgeon, all as needed for a team approach if necessary. Start by getting a recommendation for a well respected dentist in your area. Good luck!

You can be helped: First one needs to speak with your physicians regarding your condition and your ability to tolerate the procedure. Second is your bone loss due to periodontal disease or some other issue. Third how much bone in terms of height and width do you have. You need to see a specialist to be properly evaluated and have these issues addressed prior to implant therapy.

See an oral surgeon: Have a consultation with an oral surgeon and a ct scan of the jaw bones will be recommended. Based on this your surgeon will determine the amount of jaw bone that is present. Your dentist will also be involve to discuss your teeth replacement options.

SOME POINTERS: Dr freedman has provided some good directions. And i wish you all success in your dental treatments. You discuss bone loss, which is actually very common in ms, and can be associated with many causes, not the least is repetitive use of steroid meds for relapses. For the future, work closely with a rheumatologist, but be sure to supplement vitamin d-3, to level of 50-60 ng/ml.
