Different test: A pap smear looks for atypical (pre-cancer) cells. Thrush is candida (yeast). Swabs look for bacterial or viral or yeast infections. You should get a pap smear, but wait a few weeks til your infection is resolved, as a recent infection could cause a falsely abnormal pap smear.
