External hemorrhoids: Sounds like your problem. You need to make sure you are never constipated; take metamucil or other fiber supplement several times a day with plenty of fluids. Sitz baths can help, and vaseline for hard BMs. I don't recommend hemorrhoid preparations, with voodoo ingredients like shark oil. They are just expensive vaseline. If the problem isn't going away, see your doctor.
