Several things: Yeast infections are the most common cause of vaginal itching. Yeast medications are available over the counter. Schedule a visit to help narrow down the problem if you do not improve. Other skin infections are possibilities. Darkening of the vulva can be a sign of pre diabetes called acanthosis nigricans. See a doctor for testing
