Typically severe Gi: Meloxicam is an NSAID, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, in the same class as ibuprofen. Meloxicam, like other NSAIDs, do not yield respiratory distress and unconsciousness in overdose. Instead, there is typically severe GI pain, mainly in the stomach region, and the possibility of gastritis, erosions in the stomach lining.
