Swollen ball of foot: Swelling on the bottom of the foot towards the front of the foot just before the toes begin.
Pain and swelling causes can be due to neuromas, capsulitis, plantar plate tear, and skin lesions such as warts. There are many other reasons why the bottom of the forefoot will swell.
