Copper: In Wilson's, a dread disease in which the body cannot dispose of extra copper via the biliary system, the overload is eventually visible as a ring around the edges of the corenas of the eye. By then, there's usually serious damage elsewhere. The best screen for Wilson's includes urinary copper and the absence of the KF ring proves nothing. Best wishes.

Caused by the deposition of excess copper on the inner surface of the cornea in the Descemet membrane. Usually attributed to Wilson Disease, though can be seen in cholestatic disorders. Confirmed by a slit lamp examination
