Cong. Hypothyroidism: Congenital hypothyroidism is inadequate thyroid function at birth. It can be due to abnormality in thyroid gland, inborn error of thyroid metabolism or iodine deficiency. Newborn screening includes testing for congenital hypothyroidism.
