Ischemic tissue: Gangrene is the natural end outcome for irreversible tissue ischemia, characterized by tissue infarction, liquefactive or dry necrosis, and infection with multiple bacterial organisms. Usually a result of loss of arterial oxygenated blood to an end organ.
