RICE: Rest, ice, compression and elevation is a good rule to apply to any sore extremity. A sling of some type is also helpfull and regular use of an nsaid. If things are not improving in a week get them checked out.

First why is it sore: ...? The cause needs to be ascertained. Was there an injury or was it just overworked? Once the cause is established the treatment plan can be tailored to address the cause. If it does not improve seek professional help.
