If the lump is right: where you had the shot, there probably is some bruising under the skin from the needle or irritation from the medication. If it becomes red, hot, and/or swollen, you might have an infection and will need to see a doctor. But, if it's just a tender lump, it will gradually go away. Hope this helps. Dr. Anne
