Is it safe to eat blue cheese dressing during pregnancy?

No: There are different types of blue cheeses, but in general there is a risk of contracting listeriosis from most blue cheeses. It is easiest just to avoid all of these types during pregnancy. Here is a reference: http://www.Babycentre.Co.Uk/x3175/is-it-safe-to-eat-cheese-during-pregnancy.

Yes.: A British dietician has stated that a woman may develop listeriosis from eating soft cheeses, with no data for backup. She asserted that cheeses such as brie, camembert and chevre (a type of goat's cheese) are not safe to eat in pregnancy because of the danger of listeriosis. She noted a total of 26 cases of listeriosis in pregnant women from all causes in England and Wales in 2011.
